The Year of Faith 2012-13  


         Rahner Serminars:11am-1.00pm
                        15th/29th January; 12th/26th February; 12th March
  
          £10 registration fee and participants are asked to make a donation of £5 per seminar

                         In the Year of faith this fourth series of Rahner seminars will study the
                        Epilogue of Foundations of Christian Faith in which Rahner discusses the
                      requirements for a basic creedal statement, and offers three brief creeds for
                                     consideration.



A Question of Faith: Canon Michael Cooley
Study Day, 11th April, 10.30 am (for 11am) - 3.30pm
Admission £20/ EPS and CCRS students free

This year, in the continuing collaboration with the Centre for Catholic
Formation, we will be devoting a day of study and reflection to that personal,
spiritual, trusting side of faith traditionally summed up in the Latin phrase
 fides
qua








Day Conference: Dr. Gemma Simmonds CJ
23rd May 10.30 am (for 11am) - 3.30 pm
Admission £20/ EPS and CCRS students free

Gemma Simmonds brings to our programme for Year of Faith a wealth of
experience from study and work among women and street children in Brazil, to
chaplaincy work in Holloway prison, to her lectureship in pastoral and social
studies at Heythrop College,







Scripture Study Day: David McLoughlin
18th July. 10.30 am (for11am) - 3.30pm
Admission £20/ EPS and CCRS students free

David McLoughlin of Newman College will explore Jesus' teaching set
against the social realities of his own time as away of looking at just what
sort of faith we are challenged to deepen and renew in a Year of Faith.
